The Institute for the Study of Soka Education was founded in 1997 in commemoration of the 30th anniversary of the founding of Soka schools. It upholds the objective of promoting Soka education, which is based on the spirit of caring for each and every child in order to unlock their individual potential, and to foster global citizens capable of contributing to the betterment of society. The institute has published a collection of speeches by the founder in addition to a volume of photographs. It has also promoted public relations activities and workshops to improve the quality of faculty members.

Institute of Natural Science and Education

Learning in the midst of nature
Since their establishment, Soka schools have conducted education in an environment rich with nature. This is based on the belief that environmental education is crucial in fostering in students a sense of coexistence with the natural environment and a sense of peace. The Wild Bird Natural Environmental Research Center was established in 1999 and continuous research on animals, plants and the environment has been conducted in six areas including Bekkai, in Hokkaido.
