2nd year students visit shopping district around Kozenji Station

The 2nd year students recently visited the shopping district around Kozenji Station. In preparation for visit they discussed different questions to ask when speaking with store owners. All the hard work they put in really paid off, and the shop owners kindly rewarded them by clearly and respectfully answering their questions. During their visit the children’s eyes glistened with wonder as they made new discoveries and broadened their understanding of the shopping district and the working world. They learned that many of the foods in the vegetable store came from distant countries, and that each day the bakery churns out over 600 pieces of bread baked at temperatures as high as 200°C. The visit provided a good opportunity for students to deepen their interest in the relationship between local residents and the shop owners that help sustain their lives. They also walked away with an appreciation for the hard work and effort put forward by people at work everyday.
