Full-filled autumn excursion

The 1st year students took a field trip to the Fuchu Kyodo-no Mori Park. They first visited old houses and buildings that had been carefully restored. Many of the students were filled with curiosity upon seeing old wooden mail box far different from the ones they know. After walking through a tunnel of Japanese bush clovers and across the Mexican aster meadow, they settled down to enjoy a round of fun autumn activities, such as the donguri-ire (acorn gathering) game and making necklaces out of fallen leaves. Following a morning hard at play, the children worked up quite an appetite. They all seemed to enjoy their delicious boxed lunches. The children had a lot of fun playing in the open, verdant lawn. The exciting autumn discoveries they made will help them grow and provide them with fond, cherished memories.
