Wisdom Day Commemorative Gathering

On November 17, the “Wisdom Day Commemorative Gathering” was held at Sapporo Soka Kindergarten. Four representatives from the senior class each spoke about what they worked hard to achieve for Wisdom Day during “Wisdom Day Smile Week”. The junior class sang “Sore ga Tomodachi (The Essence of a Friend)” energetically, while the senior class poured all their spirit into their rendition of “Sekai ga Hitotsu ni Naru Made (Till the World Is One)”. The principal of the kindergarten delivered a long message from the founder and presented the graduation guidelines he had established. Following the delivery of the message and guidelines, the principal stated the front gate of the kindergarten had been christened “Smile Gate” and announced that the founder had given special celebratory cakes to commemorate Wisdom Day, much to the delight of the children. To conclude the gathering all the children sang the kindergarten song, “Tsuyoku Tadashiku Nobinobito (Be Strong, Just and Free)” together. The children then returned to their classrooms and were all smiles as they ate the special cakes to celebrate Soka Gakuen's foundation day of November 18.
