Sapporo Soka Kindergarten
April 13, 2012

The 37th entrance ceremony

Sapporo Soka Kindergarten held its 37th entrance ceremony in the Prince and Princess Hall at 10 o'clock in the morning on April 9, 2012.
The adorable little children of the sun, dressed in their loose-fitting uniforms, entered the hall in a straight line like a little train, watched over by their loving parents who clapped along to the beat of the music. Following the lively welcome speech by representatives of the senior class, the children and teachers used their hands to perform a delightful rendition of the song “Musunde Hiraite (Open and Close)”. Next, everyone in the hall stood up and bowed in unison, after which the children sang the kindergarten song, “Tsuyoku Tadashiku Nobinobito (Be Strong, Just and Free)”. When the children were finished, the new principal Mr. Manzo Kakuuchi introduced the teachers and delivered a message from the founder, Dr. Daisaku Ikeda. The founder stated in his heartfelt message to the hopeful new students: “Every day I pray that this kindergarten will not only be a place where you can grow up strongly, justly, and freely, but that it will also set you on the path to becoming an active international citizen. Have fun as you play and grow together with your friends. Each every little prince and princess hold great promise. I wish you all good health and happiness!”
Following the ceremony, the first general meeting of Aien Kai (parents’ association) was held.
The teachers and staff hope that the new children of the sun will thoroughly enjoy their time at Sapporo Soka Kindergarten and create a lot of precious memories.
