Clubs win first prize at the Kansai sectional of Dance Drill Competition and advance to national competition

The Kansai sectional of the 2012 High School National Dance Drill Competition was held at Namihaya Dome in Kadoma City, Osaka. The dance club of the Kansai Soka Senior High School won first prize in the HIP HOP large group category, while the drum and fife band of Kansai Soka Gakuen claimed top honors in the short flag category. The top-place finishes of each group secured their advancement to the national competition in July.
In addition, the dance club of the Kansai Soka Junior High School won first prize in the thematic expression category (a dance involving a story line) for junior high schools. This outstanding performance earned the dance club the honor of becoming the first group from the school to advance to the national competition.
