Rubber baseball club finish third at Tokyo Regional Tournament

The rubber baseball club finished third at the Tokyo Regional Tournament of the 57th National High School Rubber Baseball Championship. Our school made it to the semifinals, where we were narrowly defeated 2-1 by Nittai Ebara High School, one of the schools favored to win the tournament. Nittai Ebara quickly grabbed the lead by scoring two runs in the first inning, and while our team put runners into scoring position in the following innings, we failed to bring them across the plate. In the ninth inning, a third year student ripped a blazing hit that drove in a run, but ultimately we failed to score the runs we needed to secure our place in the final. This tournament helped the members of the rubber baseball club grow, and they remained true to their team creeds of “playing together” and “appreciation for all”.
