Kansai Soka Junior High School debate club: Places third at the Kinki District Debate Competition
The Kinki District Spring Debate Competition for the 2016 school year was held at Uzumasa Campus of Kyoto Gakuen University on March 20, and the Kansai Soka Junior High School debate club won third place. The Soka team developed heated arguments over the topic of: Should Japan impose a ban on late-night service by retailers? They faced off with the teams from Nada Junior High School, Rakunan Junior High School, and Naragakuen Tomigaoka Junior High School, and scored one win and four votes. The club members have already launched themselves toward the new goal of striving for the national competition scheduled for this summer.
