Two teams from Kansai Soka Junior High School earn chance to compete in Miss Dance Drill Team Japan Competition 2017

On May 20, Kansai Soka Junior High School's fife & drum band and dance club took part in the Kansai sectional of the Miss Dance Drill Team Japan Competition 2017 (hosted by Miss Dance Drill Team International Japan) at Osaka Municipal Central Gymnasium. Both teams honorably earned a chance to compete in the national competition.

Five students from the fife & drum band participated in the short-flag category and won first place. They will make their second appearance at the national competition for the second consecutive year.

In the meantime, 32 members from the dance club took part in the girls' HIP HOP large-group category and also won first prize. They will make their seventh appearance at the national competition for the seventh year in a row.

The national competition will be held at Tokyo Metropolitan Gymnasium on August 11. This is the first time for all four teams from the two clubs of the Kansai Soka Junior High and the Kansai Soka Senior High School to earn a chance to compete in the national competition.
