Hosting teachers from Soka Happiness Kindergarten in South Korea

Twenty-three teachers from Soka Happiness Kindergarten in South Korea, including Principal Da Gyeom Lee, visited our kindergarten on Tuesday, July 18, and had a wonderful time meeting with the children.
As they entered the kindergarten building, they were given a warm welcome by the children from five-year-old student classes, waving Happiness Kindergarten flags and Sapporo Soka Kindergarten flags. At the welcome reception, student representatives from the five-year-old student classes delivered a simple greeting in Korean, while the five-year-old children performed a welcome dance. The efforts of the children delighted the guests, who showered them with applause. The children then presented the guests with commemorative pendants as well as paper fans that they had made by hand as presents for their Korean friends. Upon receiving these gifts, Principal Lee gave Korean otedama (beanbags) to all the children and a plaque featuring a Korean native dress design to the kindergarten. To close the reception, all the participants joined to sing the Sapporo Soka Kindergarten's song and the Happiness Kindergarten's song that the children had practiced hard to learn.
Following the reception, the guests were divided into small groups and went to different classes, where they had a wonderful and memorable time interacting with the children, teaching the children how to play Korean otedama, eating lunch together, and playing together in the Prince and Princess Hall. The students were very delighted to spend time with the kind Korean teachers and were all smiles. The children were so excited so as to remark, with stars in their eyes, "We want to learn the Korean language and go to Happiness Kindergarten." Sapporo Soka Kindergarten's teachers also had a productive meeting with the Korean teachers after the children left the kindergarten.

We are also pleased to announce that there were no accidents during the first term. The kindergarten would like to express its appreciation to all the parents that continuously support the kindergarten.
We pray that the students have a safe and enjoyable summer vacation.
