Sunset in Katano

On Saturday, January 6, a beautiful sunset was viewable in Katano, where Kansai Soka Junior High School is located.

Around this time of the year, it is rare to see the sun go down, as the sun is shielded by various buildings. However, a secret viewpoint has been identified—the"Planning Room"—which the junior high school's executive committee members often use.

At a time in the past, the founder, Dr. Daisaku Ikeda, introduced the sunset in Katano in his prose poetry, Katano no Michi wa ‘Ippon no Michi’, ‘Eiko no Michi’ ("Katano's road is one way to glory"). He stated, "I can't help feeling that the sunset watched from the land of Katano is infused with the principles of the universe, making the firmament beautiful in every hole and corner."
