Soka students receive prize at the 62nd National Arts and Sciences Competition


Two students from Tokyo Soka Junior High School received a prize at the 62nd National Arts and Sciences Competition. Approximately 130,000 works had been submitted to the competition.
Obunsha Yoshio Akao Memorial Award:
Work by third-year student Yuji Ishiyama in the novel category, titled "Yama no Sachi" ("Food from the Mountains")
Effort Award:
Work by third-year student Riho Omine in the book report category, titled "Report on 'The Divine Comedy: Inferno'"

This competition has been annually held since the first competition in 1957, and this year marks the 62nd year. It is hosted by Obunsha Co., Ltd. and is sponsored by the Cabinet Office, Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology, and the Ministry of the Environment. Approximately 130,000 works by many students from schools around the nation and from overseas are submitted to the competition.
